Serving Lunch & Dinner Daily, Weekend Brunch and Catering

Monday Night 1/2 off Wine BTG

Donation, Donation, Donation!

Chef Lauren Kiino brings her distinctive style of approachable, inventive Northern California farmhouse cooking to SOMA.
The Red Dog kitchen sources and cooks with the best of the Bay Area’s variety of produce, meat and fish.
We incorporate local ingredients into dishes inspired by the classics recipes of the UK, Europe and American traditions.
In perfect counterpoint, the 20 seat bar offers craft beer, a curated wine program, and on-point modern and classic cocktails.
Expect a decidedly friendly, urban environment: comfortable and welcoming, with complementary modern and rustic touches.
We are open for lunch and dinner every day and brunch on Saturday and Sunday, and our bar and dining room is a gathering place for local residents,
workers and visitors alike. Our bar is a gathering spot to view local sports events, and our private room can be used for work meetings and private celebrations.
If you like Red Dog Restaurant & Bar why not also visit us next door at
Fearless Coffee or try il Cane Rosso at San Francisco’s Ferry Building.

What are we doing? We believe in giving back and paying forward. That being said, we are donating a portion of every guest check to the selected charities and special organizations below. The charities are rotated every couple weeks, with the exception of the default organization, which stays on for one full month. There’s no additional cost to you, and we haven’t adjusted our prices. We just want to do right for the people, the community, and the world.

Selected organizations for the current period:

Valley Fire Red Cross- helping victims of the devastating CA wildfires

Bay Leaf Kitchen- teaching kids to cook, create, and share from sustainable resources

Rocket Dog Rescue- local dog and cat rescue group

Old Skool Cafe- a supper club run by at-risk students

If you dine with us, you will be given a card to choose the organization that best suits you. In the event you don’t choose, your guest check proceeds automatically go to the default organization. The default organization for this period is CUESA.

You can whine or you can wine. It’s Monday so both can be expected. To ease the pain of the beginning of the work week, we’re offering all wines by the glass at 50% off their regular menu price. No reservation necessary, and the special is available in the entire restaurant.

Email us at or call 415-692-0211 to make reservations.

Thinking of hosting an event?  Reception?  Private party? Cocktails & appetizers?

We can provide a customized event just for you from 16 – 100+ guests.

Email to start planning your party.

Join us every Sunday for Sunday Suppers! A 3-course, family-style dinner for $30. Beginning at 5pm. Reservations suggested, but are not required.
