ABOUT RED DOG

Chef Lauren Kiino brings her distinctive style of approachable, inventive Northern California farmhouse cooking to SOMA.
The Red Dog kitchen sources and cooks with the best of the Bay Area’s variety of produce, meat and fish.
We incorporate local ingredients into dishes inspired by the classics recipes of the UK, Europe and American traditions.
In perfect counterpoint, the 20 seat bar offers craft beer, a curated wine program, and on-point modern and classic cocktails.
Expect a decidedly friendly, urban environment: comfortable and welcoming, with complementary modern and rustic touches.
We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, and our bar and dining room is a gathering place for local residents,
workers and visitors alike.Our bar is a gathering spot to view local sports events, and our private room can be used for work meetings and private celebrations.

Chef Lauren Kiino will prepare a delicious take-home feast for you and your family to enjoy on Christmas!

Starter, Entree with three sides & dessert for $45/per person plus tax

Pick up your dinners from Il Cane Rosso in the Ferry Building or Red Dog on December 24th and enjoy on Christmas Day (we provide serving instructions)

Starter (a la carte pricing $12):

Local Dungeness Crab and Winter Citrus Salad

fennel, radicchio, champagne vinaigrette, olive oil crostini

Entree (choice of meat):

Long & Bailey Spit-Roasted Pork spiced quince chutney

Brandt Ranch Braised & Grilled Beef Shortribs horseradish salsa verde

RED DOG HOSTS NEW YEAR’S EVE 2014

Join us on December 31 , 2014 for our first ever New Year’s Eve celebration!

A la carte and prix fix menu options available and we are

planning some special New Year’s Eve fun (think:  cocktail cart with tableside classic cocktails)

In addition to our regular a la carte menu, we will also present the following special menu for a limited amount of guests:

Fresh-picked Dungeness crab & brown rice fritter with celery root remoulade

Metzger Ranch goose terrine with brussels sprout kraut & brioche toast

Warm gougere with house-smoked trout

First course:

Local oyster & green garlic stew with house made saltines

Second course:

County Line Farms puntarelle, artichoke & cauliflower salad with aged sheep’s cheese and lemon-anchovy vinaigrette

 Third course:

Brandt Ranch prime rib au jus with twice baked new potato & creamed winter greens

Fourth course:

Warm chocolate-ginger cake with poached pear, mascarpone & hazelnut praline
